Courtois to Head Microsoft's International Efforts



Microsoft Europes top appointed its president, let - Philip courtois, to a newly created position, Microsoft International President, in which he will lead international sales, marketing and services.

Courtois, former Chief Executive Officer of Microsoft Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), the assumption in this new post because Microsofts future growth increasingly depends on the ability of the Company in international sales, in the face of competition from cheaper alternatives Linux and pirated windows.

New role, an increase of Japan, mainland China, the Asia-Pacific region, Latin America, public sector and emerging markets to courtois previous responsibilities.

Courtois continue to report to Kevin Johnson, group vice president, responsible for global sales, marketing and services at Microsoft. Courtois will continue to stay in Paris. Microsoft also promoted Nierhe Galloway President Microsoft Europe, Middle East and Africa, from his original post of vice president, sales, marketing and services for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He will continue to report to the Executive Board courtois.
