Veritas Launches End-User Certs, Offers $50 Betas

April 16, 2003 - storage software vendors V eritas company announced today that the company is launching end-user certification program. According to Lenny alugas , vice president of education in the VERITAS, the company decided to establish procedures based on customer demand. "We have already started receiving a lot of feedback [customers] would like to verify their own organization skills, the management of our solutions," he explained. "When you look at data protection in the world, you see the value of [information]¡­ you really want to make sure that your This team has the ability to do the work. " "This program is a commitment from VERITAS ... In order to meet this need," he added . "I have no doubt that based on customer demand and the importance of these skills [of this program will have a significant long-term value market" . According alugas , in the end of this year more than two-level track, will be provided to the candidates: data protection and high availability. Data Protection certification, will focus on vertias storage solutions, and high Availability track will verify clusters and other skills, the use of the companys Foundation Suite and Veritas Cluster Server products, and so on.

First title for the program, the professional certification Veritas data protection administrator (the first level of data protection athletics), officially launched on May 5 in the companys Veritas company vision of the General Assembly. To win, candidates are free to choose the specific UNIX examinations (the Democratic Party - 003x) or Windows-specific test (the Democratic Party - 003 watts). Examinations for the other two levels in this track - Senior managers and architects - will premiere the end of this year, a lugas said. The first examination for high Availability track in the next years scheduled launch of a quarter.
