Microsoft in Alliance with Teradata
Microsoft and NCRs Teradata Division Monday announced an alliance meant to optimize the interoperability between Microsofts business intelligence solutions and Teradatas enterprise data warehouse products.
First goal, the cooperation of delivery, technology, to enhance interoperability between the enterprise data warehouse and Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services - Availability target for the end of the first quarter of this year.
Other areas of cooperation, efforts will include SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services, SQL Server 2005 integration services, and the 2007 Microsoft Office system, including Microsoft Office Excel 2007, Windows SharePoint Services and Microsoft Office of performancepoint Server 2007, according to a joint statement by the two companies.
"The combination of these powerful Microsoft and Teradata technology will enable our joint customers to make better, faster decisions into real-time intelligence to the front-line operations and long-range strategic planning," Randy lea, vice president, Teradatas products and services, said: said in a statement.
